Xbox One Guarded by Sharks

We’ve heard of plenty of unusual methods of protecting a prized piece of technology, but it has to be said that live sharks is a new one! That’s the option Microsoft has opted for however, with the very first Xbox One console to be handed over to a lucky customer currently under the protection of some intimidating teeth and fins. The console is currently inside a water-tight case that has been weighed down and placed at the bottom of a tank that contains 20 tiger sharks at the Sea Life Aquarium in Auckland, New Zealand.

It’s all a part of Microsoft’s dramatic launch plan of course. Due to the geographical location of New Zealand it will be the first country to cross into November the 22nd, and therefore New Zealand residents will be the first to get their hands on the Xbox One. Microsoft has planned launch events all over the world, with celebrations set to take place in New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Sao Paulo, Toronto and Sydney. Expect to see supercars, zombies, Roman soldiers and more at these highly anticipated events. Microsoft is pulling out all the stops to bring attention to the Xbox One, and if you’re too far away to make a launch event you can always watch the live streaming on Xbox Live.

What do you think of the fuss that Microsoft is making? Will you be attending one of the launch events? Would live sharks stop you from diving to the tempting Xbox One console? Have your say below.
